1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Juntos at ourjuntos.app (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
2. Description of Service
Juntos is a group travel planning application that helps users coordinate trips with friends and family. The Service allows you to:
- Create and manage group trips
- Coordinate availability and dates with trip members
- Share itineraries, attractions, and logistics
- Invite others to collaborate on trip planning
The Service is designed to enhance existing planning workflows, not replace them. Juntos does not book travel, accommodations, or activities on your behalf.
3. User Accounts
To use Juntos, you must:
- Sign in with a valid Google account
- Be at least 13 years of age
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Each account is for individual use only. You may not share your account credentials with others.
4. Acceptable Use
You may:
- Create and manage personal travel plans
- Invite others to collaborate on trips
- Share trip information with invited members
You must not:
- Use the Service for any illegal activities
- Impersonate others or create fake accounts
- Share your login credentials with others
- Attempt to access other users' data without authorization
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
- Upload malicious content, spam, or harmful files
- Violate others' privacy by sharing their information without consent
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service's functionality
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from the Service
5. User Responsibilities
When using Juntos, you are responsible for:
- Obtaining consent before adding others' email addresses to trips or invitations
- The accuracy of information you provide
- Your conduct and content within trips you create or join
- Keeping your contact information current
- Any travel arrangements made based on information in the Service
6. Trip-Specific Provisions
- Trip Ownership: Trip creators ("owners") control trip settings, member access, and may delete trips at their discretion
- Member Removal: Owners and admins may remove members from trips at any time
- Data Visibility: Trip members can see other members' names, availability, and any information shared within the trip
- No Travel Guarantees: Juntos does not guarantee travel arrangements, bookings, or third-party services. All travel decisions are your responsibility.
7. Intellectual Property
Your Content: You retain ownership of all content you create or upload to Juntos. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.
Our Service: Juntos, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the Service without our written permission.
8. Third-Party Services
Juntos integrates with third-party services including:
- Google (authentication)
- Anthropic (AI data processing)
- Resend (email delivery)
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party service availability, functionality, or changes.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Warranties regarding the accuracy of AI-processed data
- Warranties that travel plans will proceed as intended
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JUNTOS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Travel plans that fall through or change
- Disputes between trip members
- Loss of data (beyond reasonable recovery efforts)
- Third-party service failures
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Juntos and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from: (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) your content, or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.
12. Termination
By You
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us. You may leave trips you have joined.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. We may discontinue the Service with reasonable notice.
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your access to the Service ends. Trip data may persist for other members. Trips you own may be transferred to another admin or deleted. Data retention follows our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in San Francisco County, California.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
15. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Juntos regarding the Service.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights to any successor entity.
